Ivan Goris

 A New York City native and growing up in the New York City Housing projects.  During his growth he saw the importance of engaging in the human condition and the strengthen of storytelling. He is an actor, writer, director of photography and Stage Manager. Concerned about the mental health of people, he has carried out several philanthropic tasks such as: Worked at St Mark’s place institute for mental health for 10 years, Was part of a group that went out to help people in Far Rockaway clean up their homes after hurricane Sandy and also he performs at middle schools as “freedom rider” Lew Zuchmann during black history month and created a school video project with the students.

Mr. Goris created in several schools video projects for elementary and high school students. More recently he has been giving acting classes for senior citizens and was the director of photography for a short film filming with the elders. Also he was the director of the short film “Lluvias the mayo” accepted in the Official Latino Film Festival and worked as a stage manager for Alex Alpharoah’s one man show on DACA reform.

As an actor he is known for Anesthesia (2015) of  de Tim Blake Nelson , en VINYL de HBO, THE GET DOWN of NETFLIX Allegiance (2015) , SPIKE LEE’S SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT, and West of the City. Among others.
